I've seen 2 Renault clio's that i like and am thinking about buying one for my first car. They are very similar - both P reg, both 3dr, both near enough the same mileage but one is a 1.2 and the other is a 1.4. Is it true that the smaller the engine the cheaper it is for insurance/tax? I was told within 24 hours a rep would call and send someone out to see my car, I figured that being it was late Wednesday already by Thursday or Friday I'd hear something. Turns out nothing yet, and when calling again this woman STILL hasn't filed a claim or picked up her police report. I plan on calling my insurance again but what is going on? How long must I wait for this, my car is damaged badly and needs to be fixed and I feel this woman should pay for this, and all she has caused me? What should be my next move here?

I know that in FL, at least, one does *not* need insurance for a scooter that has 50cc, and one does not need a special license. However, once you surpass 50cc (like, for example, 150 or 200cc), then a motorcycle license is required (or so I've been told). So, if I were to cough up $3,399 for a Piaggio Fly 150cc, would I also need insurance? I mean, if I would, I would simply settle for the $1,499 scooter in town made by some random company. Hi guys well I was cought by a cop cause my temp pleate was expired and did not have an insurance and I got these two ticket in a mall parking lot here is how the police saw me ( my car was parked in a parking near the minestry office from the past 2 weeks and I just went to start the car so the battery don't run out of charge, and just on the other side of this parking lot there was a coffe shop on the other side of the road which is a mall aria but to get there I had to cross a main road which Im guessing is a 50 meters crossing, so ofcorse the officer saw me on the main road and I turned in the parking lot and he stoped me there) so any one there can help me out how to get out of this mess I have asked some lawers they told me they can help me out but the fees they are charging is realy big please help

I'm getting a Lotus Elise transferred under my name sometime next week and it will be replacing my MINI Cooper as my daily driver. This car is typically insured as a pleasure car, so most people who own them don't often drive them over 3k miles per year. I'll be doing nearly three times that, so I'm expecting my rates to be little higher than usual just because it'll be my daily driver. So here's my question, may I insure the car as a pleasure or weekend vehicle and still drive it above the mileage that is permitted by my insurance co. ? Also, I'm only 20. I've gotten a quote of $3200 per year to insure as a weekend car, and that's the lowest that I've found so far. I'm expecting something a bit higher to register it as a daily. Feel free to throw in what you would recommend for an insurance company, I'm still shopping for one with a decent rate.

I filled out a couple quotes from esurance.com and allstate and i got like $2100 & $4100 premium 6 month payment. Does that mean its going to cost me that much for insurance for only 6 months? If so, that is insane. That would be $350-$750 dollars a month. That cannot be real.
